She currently works at Kohl’s corporate as an apparel designer. Audrey is passionate about active design and hopes to continue to work in this market.
Design in all forms has always been very interesting to Audrey. To learn about and develop her understanding of other forms of design she began meeting with User Experience industry professionals. She found the field to be extremely exciting and upon the recommendation of these professionals she enrolled in a UX/UI Design Bootcamp at the University of Minnesota. The bootcamp was a 6 month intensive course where she learned the principles of UX design from top to bottom. Completing multiple projects to demonstrate all she learned. Since completing the bootcamp in September of 2023 Audrey has been mentoring at Kohl’s with a Senior Product Designer. This experience has helped Audrey to grow as a designer. She has had the amazing opportunity to work on projects for the company that the balance team has not had time to prioritize. Audrey is committed to constantly learning and growing.
In early 2023 Audrey founded her brand Found and Made Textile Studios. Sustainably focused, FMTS uses ‘found’ textiles, i.e. quilts, discarded yardage, and other handmade textiles. FMTS uses these textiles to create accessories, bags, and clothing. Though the brand is new it has grown exponentially and has the potential to grow so much more.
She currently lives in Columbus, Ohio
